Golf's Next Generation Celebrates Success of 3rd Annual BallenIsles Junior Cup 

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. July 22, 2013 BallenIsles Country Club is celebrating the successful conclusion of its 3rd Annual BallenIsles Junior Cup which showcased young, rising stars of golf in a Ryder Cup format tournament on the Club’s historic championship East Course.

“We’re proud that our storied golf courses at BallenIsles Country Club, where many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA Tour have become the fitting setting of a defining tournament for Golf’s next generation,” BallenIsles General Manager Derrick Barnett said.

3rd Annual BallenIsles Junior Cup to Showcase Golf's Next Generation

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. July 19, 2013 The storied golf courses at BallenIsles Country Club, where many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA Tour will again showcase golf's next generation of male and female rising stars at the 3rd Annual BallenIsles Junior Cup July 20 – 21, 2013.

BallenIsles historic championship East Course, where legendary players like Jack Nicklaus, Julius Boros and Sam Snead won PGA Championships, will be the fitting setting for the third year of the Ryder Cup format tournament.

In the invitation-only event, 36 accomplished junior golfers from the local community will compete Saturday in a “Partners Better Ball” and “Alternate Shot” match play. The Sunday format will be individual matches on 18 holes.

"We're very grateful to our sponsors Cleveland Golf and Srixon for helping us roll out the red carpet again on a superb event for these accomplished Junior Golfers," said Brian Kelley, BallenIsles Director of Golf.

Players received a Cleveland Golf Stand Bag, Golf Shirts, Hats, and Srixon Golf Balls during a demo day with Cleveland Golf and Srixon, that presented the juniors with an opportunity to try the latest in golf equipment, while a pairings party determined an “East” and "West” team.
