Record Holder of Fastest Serve in History Serves up Celebrity Tennis Exhibition Benefiting Local Charity at BallenIsles Country Club

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. May 3, 2013–Record holder of one of the fastest serves in history, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy, is set to join tennis standouts Don Johnson, Jimmy Arias, Mikael Pernfors, and Kathy Rinaldi at BallenIsles Country Club on Saturday, May 4 for a Celebrity Tennis Exhibition benefiting local Charity.

Schultz-McCarthy claimed her place as the fastest serve in WTA history, recording a 130-mph-serve during a qualifying tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006.

“This promises to be great tennis action and will take place on the Stadium Court of the Club's state-of-the-art Sports Complex from 4:00 - 5:30 pm,” said BallenIsles Tennis Director Trish Faulkner.

A Tennis Clinic from 2:30 – 4:00pm will precede the exhibition which will be followed by a cocktail party in the Main Clubhouse 6:00 – 8:00 pm and an opportunity for photos with celebrities.

Super Bowl Champoin Anquan Boldin Hosts Celebrity Golf Classic at BallenIsles Thursday, April 11 to Benefit Underprivileged Children

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. Apr 8, 2013 Fresh from his trade from Baltimore to the San Francisco 49ers, 2013 Super Bowl Champion Anquan Boldin will hit the famed golf courses of BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens on Thursday, April 11.  Boldin and more than 30 other pro athletes are scheduled to tee off at 12.30pm in a shotgun format on BallenIsles East Course, for the Anquan Boldin Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit underprivileged children.

"We are extremely proud to be selected by the Anquan Boldin Foundation to host this NFL star-studded event at BallenIsles for such a worthy cause," said BallenIsles General Manager Derrick Barnett.

Proceeds from the Golf tournament benefit the Anquan Boldin “Q81” Foundation www.Q81.org, a 501(c)3, non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the educational and life opportunities of underprivileged children.

“This is our 8th annual Q-Festival Weekend from April 11 – 13 and we’re expecting over 30 NFL players to attend the tournament at BallenIsles to mark the beginning of Q-Fest this year," said Boldin, who is also an inductee of the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame.

BallenIsles Men's Golf Association Donates a Record $104,830 From Prostate Cancer Golf Tournament in Partnership with Scripps Florida

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. Mar 18, 2013 The storied golf courses at BallenIsles Country Club, where many golf legends like Arnold Palmer originally qualified for the PGA Tour, have a new title – host to a one-day charity golf tournament that raised a record $104,830.

BallenIsles Men's Golf Association's hosted the unique fundraising and awareness campaign on Wednesday, March 6 that included a silent auction and the Prostate Cancer Golf Tournament in support of accelerating Prostate Cancer Research. "This was a significant increase over the fundraising milestones we reached last year and we’re pleased that one hundred percent of the money raised by this tournament and silent auction goes directly to a post-doctoral training fellowship at Scripps Florida, aimed at developing better treatments and, ultimately a cure for this disease that strikes 1 out of 6 American men," said BallenIsles MGA/Prostate Cancer Committee Chair Burt Rein.
